CM Dental Care understands that many people suffer from anxiety at the thought of visiting the dentist and this fear can be so severe that it can cause dental phobia in many patients and harm your dental health.

We would like to reassure you that our dental team has experience helping nervous patients overcome their anxieties and have a stress-free visit.

What can you do to help relieve my anxiety?

At CM Dental Care, we have deliberately created a warm, friendly, welcoming environment to help you relax. You will be treated with consideration and made to feel as comfortable as possible.

Open communication is important, and we want you to feel listened to. We will answer your questions and address your concerns, as well as discuss treatments with you so that you fully understand what they entail, to make your dental journey less stressful.

We can also help manage your appointments so you don’t feel stressed or under pressure to go back to work; so you can arrive early, get comfortable, and have plenty of time to decompress afterwards.

We understand that some patients are more nervous than others, and that is why we offer intravenous sedation to help relieve tension and anxiety during your procedure.

Are there any stress-relieving measures I can take to prepare myself?

• Avoid eating or drinking foods or liquids with high levels of sugar or caffeine.
• Engage in a destressing ritual in the waiting room, such as listening to calming music or reading a book.
• Consider using basic meditation techniques to stay calm.
